The law firm of Shank, Irwin & Conant (Law Firm) filed suit against appellant Paige Bayoud (Client) to collect attorneys' fees incurred in representation of Client in several matters. Client counterclaimed asserting malpractice. The jury found for Law Firm and awarded $102,000 on the collection claim and $20,000 in attorneys' fees; the trial court granted Law Firm an instructed verdict on the malpractice counterclaim, and Client does not contest...
