Plaintiffs, Paul and Camille Hoffmann, filed this lawsuit to obtain a work of contemporary art, Brice Marden's "Grey # 1," which they claim defendant Mary Boone, owner of a New York art gallery bearing her name, agreed to sell for $120,000 in April 1988.
