Along with co-defendants Mary Ann Creed and Vicky Creed, Charles Tarwater entered a guilty plea. Tarwater pled guilty to the murder of Joseph A. Creed, Mary Ann's husband, and received a life sentence. Mary Ann and Vicky each pled guilty to conspiracy to commit murder and received ten-year sentences.
