SCHULTZ, Justice.

The father of two children appeals from the juvenile court order terminating his parental rights. The children's mother also appealed from the termination of her parental rights, but she has dismissed her appeal. We initially transferred this case to the court of appeals, which reversed the juvenile court ruling. We then granted the State's application for further review.
