The complaint in this action asserts that defendants have infringed upon two patents allegedly owned by plaintiffs, U.S. Patent No. 4,503,423 ("the 423 patent") and U.S. Reissue Patent No. Re. 30,814 ("the 814 patent"). Both of these patents generally relate to "barbed metal tape barriers." In addition to denying plaintiff's allegations, defendants have raised a number of affirmative defenses...
