After a jury trial, defendant was convicted of two counts of aggravated battery and one count each of armed violence and attempted murder. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, pars. 12-4(a), 12-4(b)(1), 33A-2, 8-4.) She was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment for attempted murder and now appeals.
