This is an appeal by the plaintiffs, William J. Wilder and Diane M. Wilder, from an order of the Superior Court (Hollman, J.) dismissing their individual claims of negligent infliction of emotional distress for failure to state a cause of action. The plaintiffs' claims arise from a fatal accident involving their eight-year-old son, Bryon. The plaintiffs appeal the trial court's dismissal, arguing that they are entitled to pursue a cause of action...
