Plaintiff Daniel F. Holley, Sr., operated a barbeque restaurant business in Columbus, Georgia. In early 1983 plaintiff was approached by defendant Buddy Welch, a real estate agent, who inquired whether plaintiff would be interested in selling his business because Welch knew of an individual who might be interested in purchasing the restaurant.
