In Kim v. State, 426 N.W.2d 487 (Minn. App.1988), the court of appeals reversed an order of the district court denying defendant, Joon Kyu Kim, post-conviction relief from a sexual assault conviction based on a guilty plea. The court of appeals ruled that denial of defendant's motion to withdraw his guilty plea, made before sentence was imposed, constituted an abuse of discretion. We reverse the court of appeals...
