Cowles Media Company, d/b/a Minneapolis Star and Tribune (Tribune) and Northwest Publications, Inc. (Dispatch), appeal the trial court's judgment awarding Cohen $200,000 in compensatory damages and $500,000 in punitive damages. This action arises out of the newspapers' publication of Cohen's name after reporters employed by the newspapers had promised Cohen that his name would not be published.
