The defendant, Roosevelt Potts, was charged by bill of indictment, docket No. 49,081, with aggravated battery in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:34. Defendant initially pled not guilty but pursuant to a plea bargain, withdrew that plea and entered a plea of guilty.
