GLASS, J.

In a four count information, the state accused the defendant of sexually assaulting a mentally retarded adult woman. Each count alleged that the offenses occurred "on or about a date between January 1, 1985 through June 22, 1985." Because of the victim's handicap, the state was unable to allege specific dates of the offenses charged. The trial court granted the defendant's motion to dismiss the charges on the ground that the time frame alleged impermissibly...
