Plaintiff, Melissa Fonseca, was stopped and waiting for a traffic light in Terrebonne Parish on March 16, 1985, when she was struck from the rear by defendant, Gary Hall. The vehicle driven by Hall was owned by defendant, Otis Engineering Corporation, and insured by defendant, Highlands Insurance Company.

Plaintiff filed suit for damages sustained as a result of the automobile accident. The defendants admitted fault in causing the accident...
