The defendant was convicted, after a trial to a jury, of possession of narcotics with intent to sell in violation of General Statutes § 21a-278 (b),1 possession of drug paraphernalia in violation of General Statutes § 21a-267 (a),2 and having a weapon in a motor vehicle in violation of General Statutes § 29-38.3
