Larry Elden Edman was charged with operating while intoxicated, in violation of Iowa Code section 321.281 (1979) on October 2, 1979. Edman did not appear personally for arraignment, but was represented by counsel, who entered a plea of not guilty for Edman, and waived speedy trial.
