The defendant, Dominick Redente, was charged in a substitute information with three counts of receiving cash contributions in violation of General Statutes (Rev. to 1983) §§ 9-348k (9) and 9-348l and with one count of larceny in the third degree in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-124 (a) (1), 53a-121 and 53a-119 (1). He pleaded not guilty and elected to be tried to a jury. The jury returned a verdict of guilty on all four counts...
