Defendant Robert Ray Gettier was convicted in a jury trial of sexual abuse in the third degree, in violation of Iowa Code section 709.4. He raises two issues on appeal. First, Gettier complains that he was not permitted to introduce evidence of the complainant's statement concerning her involvement in sex acts on the night in question.
