The appellant, Romaine Hill, was severely injured in an accident while a passenger in an automobile driven by the appellee, Howard Ernest Reynolds. The accident occurred when Reynolds's automobile left the roadway and struck a guardrail. Following a three-day jury trial, the jury found that Hill's injuries were caused by the joint negligence of Hill and Reynolds.
