Plaintiff sustained hearing loss and significant permanent brain injuries when his motorcycle collided with defendant's car, which made a left turn in front of him. After a trial which lasted about two weeks, the jury rendered its special verdict finding defendant wholly at fault for the accident and determining the total amount of plaintiff's damages to be $1,557,400. Defendant's motion for a new trial was denied...
