COLE, Judge.

Darryl Eugene Foster was convicted of first degree murder, robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. On appeal, Foster contends that (1) he was denied his right to a speedy trial under Code § 19.2-243, and (2) the trial court erred in refusing to suppress an inculpatory statement he made after invoking his right to counsel. Finding no merit in either argument, we affirm.
