The conservatee, Oscar Karp, sold his business at the end of 1982. It was failing; his family and friends realized that his memory and ability to handle complex issues were contemporaneously failing. Following the sale of his business, Karp became depressed. Then began a slow and steady deterioration of his condition, which finally led to a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease together with other complications...
