Defendant appeals his conviction of aggravated child molestation, OCGA § 16-6-4 (c), and two counts of child molestation, OCGA § 16-6-4 (a). Four errors are enumerated: allowing the State to introduce evidence of similar crimes in violation of USCR 31.1; allowing the State to place defendant's character in issue; the denial of the motion for new trial based upon ineffective assistance of counsel; permitting defendant's statements to be introduced...
