While investigating possible drug dealing in front of the Gayle Elementary School, Officers Fred Hattenberger and Jay Brunkella approached the defendant, Allison Jenkins, and another man. Although testimony conflicts as to what occurred, during a struggle between the defendant and Officer Hattenberger, Officer Hattenberger's gun discharged.
