The defendant appeals from a judgment of conviction rendered after a trial to a jury that found him guilty of the crime of sale of cocaine, in violation of General Statutes § 21a-278 (b).

The defendant was arrested on a warrant on November 24, 1987, on a charge arising out of a sale of cocaine made to an undercover police officer on March 26, 1987. The arrest was made after the completion of a narcotics investigation by the statewide narcotics...
