This is an appeal from the trial court's granting of directed verdicts in favor of the defendants. The plaintiff Commercial Union Insurance Company (Commercial) brought an action against the defendants, seeking reimbursement for sums paid to the city of New Haven, under a contract of insurance, for repair of a bulldozer damaged by a fire at a city landfill.
