Lawrence Leggett, Jr., appellant, was convicted, following a jury trial in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, of first degree murder and wearing and carrying a dangerous and deadly weapon. He was sentenced, for the murder conviction, to life imprisonment without benefit of parole, pursuant to Maryland Code Ann. art. 27, § 643B1 and to a concurrent three year sentence for the weapon's charge.
