Defendant, Pamela Dahlin, was indicted for bringing contraband into a penal institution under section 31A-1 of the Criminal Code of 1961 (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, par. 31A-1). Following a jury trial in the circuit court of Fayette County, she was convicted. Defendant presents for our review the question whether the trial court erred in refusing to direct a verdict for the defendant...
