SELYA, Circuit Judge.

Invoking diversity jurisdiction, 28 U.S.C. § 1332(a), Quaker State Oil Refining Corporation (QSOR) sued a former distributor, defendant Garrity Oil Company (Garrity), in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Disenfranchised and disaffected, Garrity counter-sued. The district court ended the hostilities short of trial and the belligerents both appeal. We affirm.
