In this case we hold that in marital dissolution proceedings (1) the proper date for valuation of the community interest in a spouse's law practice is normally the date of separation; (2) failure to request a statement of decision is fatal to a challenge on appeal of the exercise of the trial court's discretion in refusing to allow full credit to a spouse for payment...
