Mitchell Ray Leonard pled guilty to being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). The district court enhanced his sentence pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 924(e)(1), which provides for a fifteen year minimum sentence for those who violate § 922(g) and have three prior convictions for violent felonies.
