Plaintiff-appellant, J.L. Murdock (Murdock), filed a lawsuit against defendant-appellee, Conoco, Inc., a Delaware corporation, Pure-Lively Energy 1981-A, Ltd., a Texas limited partnership, and Lively Energy and Development Corporation, a Texas corporation (Lively), and certain named individuals in the Chaves County District Court. In his complaint Murdock alleged he had not been timely paid royalty proceeds from five oil wells...
