This action arises out of a conflict between plaintiff Harry Katz and twenty-three defendants, all of whom participated in some way in a criminal proceeding against him which ultimately resulted in his conviction of Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree under New York Penal Law 240.25 (McKinney's Consol. 1980).
