Thomas Milton Blount was indicted for unlawful possession of cocaine, in violation of § 13A-12-212(a)(1), Code of Alabama 1975. The jury found the appellant "guilty as charged in the indictment," and the trial court sentenced him, under the Habitual Felony Offender Act to eighteen years in the State penitentiary.
