Defendant-appellant Alvaro Herrera pleaded guilty to two counts charging him with violating (1) 21 U.S.C. § 841(a) and 18 U.S.C. § 2 (possession of narcotics with intent to distribute); and (2) 18 U.S.C. §§ 1952 and 2 (interstate travel in aid of a racketeering enterprise involving narcotics). He was sentenced to 136 months in prison to be followed by a four-year period of supervised release, and fined $17,500. He appeals...
