The plaintiffs in the present action are present and former police officers of Wichita, Kansas. The plaintiffs contend that the defendant, the City of Wichita, violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), 29 U.S.C. § 201 et seq., by failing to provide compensation for the time spent by the officers during their meal breaks. They contend that the city also violated the FLSA by denying overtime...
