On April 18, 1988 defendant-appellant, Joseph Bargeman, was charged by bill of information with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:62.2. On September 29, 1988 defendant was found guilty by a unanimous 12-person jury of attempted simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
