The defendant, Daniel DeBlanc, was charged by bill of information with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, a violation of La.R.S. 40:966. On September 2, 1988, the trial court held a hearing on the defendant's motions to suppress and release property, and the state's motion for forfeiture of the seized property.
