The state seeks a writ of common law certiorari from this court to quash an order of the trial court which suppressed videotaped and written depositions. This deposition1 was taken to perpetuate the testimony of a state's witness. We have jurisdiction. Article V, § 4(b)(3), Fla. Const. See also, State v. Pettis, 520 So.2d 250 (Fla. 1988).
