Michael Allen Duhon was a passenger aboard a helicopter which was involved in two accidents in 1983 in the Gulf of Mexico. Claiming personal injuries suffered from both incidents, he and his wife, Mary Kathryn Duhon, sued multiple parties, the number of which by the time of trial were reduced to four: Petroleum Helicopters, Inc. (PHI), the owner of the aircraft; AVCO-Lycoming, the manufacturer of the engine that powered the aircraft; Aerospatiale...
