The defendant-appellant, Georgia M. Freeman, entered into a loan agreement for $3,818.22 with the plaintiff-appellee, Huntington Bank ("bank"), in order to purchase a 1981 Pontiac Grand LeMans automobile. The appellant signed a promissory note which was secured or "collateralized" by the automobile.

The appellant ceased making payments on the loan, and on January 22, 1988 the bank repossessed the car and later sold the car at a public auction....
