The principal issue in this appeal is whether the district court erred in holding that under federal maritime law in a personal injury case, a good faith settlement between a plaintiff and defendant bars an action for contribution by a co-defendant against the settling defendant. The secondary issue is, if a good-faith settlement does constitute such a bar, did the district court err in holding that the settlement in this particular case...
