By this action the plaintiff seeks forfeiture of $134,752 in United States currency. The government claims the money is traceable to a criminal transaction involving either narcotics or an illegal gambling operation prohibited by federal law, and thus forfeitable pursuant to 21 U.S.C. § 881 or 18 U.S.C. § 1955, respectively.
