Defendant appeals from his conviction of theft by deception, a violation of Utah Code Ann. § 76-6-405 (1978). Defendant contends that evidence of his prior convictions was improperly admitted, that the prosecutor's comments in closing argument were prejudicial, and that these errors constituted grounds for a new trial.
