Steve Ross was indicted for the offense of selling, furnishing or giving away marijuana in violation of § 20-2-70, Code of Alabama 1975 (now repealed). With the approval of the appellant, the charge was changed to felony possession of marijuana in violation of the same statutory section. The jury found the appellant "guilty as charged," and the trial judge sentenced the appellant to fifteen years' imprisonment...
