On May 18, 1988 the defendant and codefendants, Richard Cobb and Barbara Barrows, were arrested and formally charged in a felony complaint under Queens County Criminal Court docket numbers 8Qo17868, 8Qo17869 and 8Qo17870 with the crimes of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.
