Melancon, Allstate Insurance Company, and Champion Insurance Company as a result of a rear-end collision in which Ramona Landry (plaintiff) was allegedly injured. Two months before trial plaintiff named Prudential Insurance Company as an additional defendant. Prudential had previously been third partied into the case by Melancon.
