NYE, Chief Justice.

A jury found appellant, Hipolito Zamora, guilty of possessing more than five pounds of marihuana. See Tex.Rev.Civ.Stat.Ann. art. 4476-15 § 4.051(b)(4) (Vernon Supp. 1989). The jury assessed appellant's punishment at eight years' confinement in the Texas Department of Corrections. By two points of error, appellant complains that the trial court erred in overruling his motion...
