Defendant, Steven James Ferguson, was charged by bill of information with one count of forcible rape, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:42.1, and one count of aggravated crime against nature, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:89.1. Defendant was tried by a jury, which convicted him as charged. For the forcible rape, defendant was sentenced to imprisonment for a term of fifteen years at hard labor, with the first two years to be served without benefit of probation...
