BOWES, Judge.

The defendant, Casandra French, was charged with a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:67 —Theft. Ms. French pled not guilty to the charge. A trial was held on May 9, 1988, after which the trial judge took the matter under advisement. On June 14, 1988, the defendant was found guilty of attempted theft and sentenced to fifteen (15) days in jail and a fifty ($50) dollar fine, plus court costs. The sentence and fine were suspended.
