DODSON, Justice.

With the trial judge's consent, Joseph David Lane appeals his conviction upon a plea of guilty to the charge of possession of a controlled substance. The trial court assessed his punishment at ten years in the Texas Department of Corrections and a $1,000 fine. The sentence was ordered suspended and appellant was placed on adult probation for a period of ten years. The record reflects that punishment was assessed at the amount recommended by the prosecutor...
